Welcome!

Welcome to our Music class learning blog!  It will be a place to give info about upcoming music events at Luff and share what we're learning in music.  At times, it may also be where students can write reflections about learning in music class.

Upcoming Events:

• POPS Choir will begin in September.  This is an optional choir that meets before school on Fridays for any 4th or 5th Grader. More info will be coming.  I will be sending a pamphlet home with each 4th and 5th Grader.
• The first music program for the year will be the 3rd Grade Program on October 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Luff Gym.  
• Let us know if you have a family member who is a veteran or is in active duty in the military. We would like to honor them! We will be having our Veterans' Day Program on Nov. 11.

Recorders

The Fourth Graders will be learning how to play the recorders.  Initially, a lot of music basics will be covered to begin with a solid background.  Students will first learn how to properly hold and blow on the recorder, followed by how to properly finger different notes to play a variety of songs.
